2025 Spring Nature hikes

Available hikes include:
March 29th: The Lookout: We will venture on the east side of 101 up through the burn area, and have a chance to see the reforestation work, nature’s own efforts, wildlife returning, and a great view. Mostly moderate difficulty but a consistent uphill and then down. 4 miles. Bring poles for stability!
April 5th: Walker Lake Boundary Hike: Gentle ups and downs, along the old Walker Lake Road through the redwoods to the Walker Lake Boundary . A moderate 5-mile round trip.
April 12th: This is a shorter walk with close attention to wildlife and plant life guided by naturalist/author Kate Marionchild.
April 19th: Two Redwood Groves and a Lake: Lichens, sorrel, trilliums in bloom, scenic lake. Moderate, mostly flat with one big steep but short hill. 5 mile round trip with low water creek crossing.
